A relocation allowance ranging from $500 to $1,500 (depending on the individual’s circumstances) provided to students who are relocating from another state or country to study at Deakin University.

To be considered for this award, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Be a domestic or international student enrolled in a Higher Degree by Research (HDR) course of study at Deakin University.
Have completed at least four years of tertiary education studies.
Not be receiving an equivalent award or scholarship from the Commonwealth intended to cover HDR fees.
Fulfill all other minimum entry requirements specified in the Higher Degrees by Research (HDR) Admission, Selection, and Enrolment Procedure.
Not be receiving income from another source that exceeds 75 percent of the RTP (Research Training Program) or DUPRS (Deakin University Postgraduate Research Scholarship) stipend rate, unless the income is unrelated to the student’s course of study or specifically received for purposes other than supporting general living costs.
