How to Apply for 2023 Fully-funded President’s Scholarships at Imperial College – UK:

There is no formal scholarship application form. You should apply for admission to Imperial through our online admissions system, and your department will recommend you for the scholarship based on academic merit and potential.

  1. When asked for a personal statement, you must submit a two-page document, the first of which is your personal statement and the second of which is your research proposal. If your department shortlists you for the scholarship, you may submit updated versions of this statement if necessary following application submission. It is recommended that you write in the first person and avoid using gender pronouns.
  2. When asked for the names of two academic referees, your proposed PhD supervisor should not be one of them. You are encouraged to share this information with your two referees, especially the recommendation to use ‘they/them’ language (rather than gender pronouns).
  3. Applicants must select this option in the funding section of the additional questions tab within the online application form to be considered for the President’s PhD Scholarship scheme.
  4. You must also meet any additional application requirements specified by your preferred department.
