The Africa Centre of Excellence in Coastal Resilience (ACECoR), hosted by the Centre for Coastal Management, University of Cape Coast, Ghana, and established under the World Bank Africa Centre of Excellence (ACE) for Development Impact Project, invites suitably qualified national, regional, and international applicants to its MPhil and PhD degree programs.

The overarching goal of ACECoR is to support the technical and scientific capacity development of young African professionals in order to address issues of coastal degradation and to promote the sustainable utilization and management of marine and coastal assets in the sub-region.

Eligibility for World Bank ACECoR Scholarships for African Students 2023:

  • Applicants must be African nationals who meet the University of Cape Coast’s admission requirements. Female applicants, as well as those from West and Central African countries, will be given preference.
  • Applicants must demonstrate a strong interest in science and technology research, development, and innovation, as well as the ability to work optimally and independently in an international multidisciplinary environment.
