The University of Lausanne offers approximately ten competitive grants to students with qualifications from foreign universities in order to facilitate access to degrees.
The scholarship is granted for the minimum statutory period of the student’s chosen program. With the exception of cases of definitive failure after the first year, it amounts to CHF 1,600 per month for the entire duration of the masters (one and a half years or two years depending on the chosen masters).

Scholarship duration: one and a half years or two years (subject to deduction for paid placements or exempt semesters, if any). The grant is suspended when the program is abandoned.
Eligibility for 2023 International Scholarships at University of Lausanne – Switzerland:
You must meet the following requirements to be eligible:
- have completed a foreign university degree considered equivalent to a bachelor’s degree at UNIL prior to the start of the master’s program at UNIL
- have distinguished yourself during your studies, particularly through outstanding academic results
- have a language level of at least B2 (on the European Language Portfolio global scale) in French or C1 in English, depending on the language in which your chosen master’s degree is taught.
- not registered with the UNIL
How to Apply for 2023 International Scholarships at University of Lausanne – Switzerland:
You are not required to apply for a master’s degree at UNIL’s Admission Office (SII).
Candidates for the Masters Scholarship must apply online and upload their complete application file in PDF during the online application (refer to the “list of documents for an application” document in the margin). Application files in PDF format sent via email, as well as incomplete application files, will be rejected.
