The Master of Science in International Health (MScIH) program focuses on health issues in low and middle-income countries. The program’s goal is to provide students with a solid foundation in international public health principles, as well as the knowledge and competencies required to run and initiate sustainable programs for disease control, health promotion, and health service development across a wide range of populations and countries.

Monthly payments of 750 euros for graduates and 1,000 euros for doctoral candidates, depending on academic level.

Eligibility For 2023 DAAD International Health Scholarships for Developing Countries:

  • You must meet the necessary academic requirements and are expected to complete a study program in Germany (above-average result for first academic exam – top performance third, language skills)
  • You must have a Bachelor’s degree (typically a four-year course) in a relevant subject.
  • You must have a minimum of two years of professional experience.
  • You can demonstrate that your motivation is development-related, and you will be expected to take on social responsibility and initiate and support change processes in your personal and professional environment following your training/scholarship.
