The Canon Collins Trust is seeking applications from current second and third-year law students (entering their third and fourth years in 2022) at the University of Fort Hare and the University of the Western Cape. We will provide funding for no more than two years.

Leigh Day & Co, a London law firm specializing in personal injury and human rights law, has generously supported this scholarship.

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must be:

  • A current LLB student in his or her second or third year at the University of Fort Hare or the University of the Western Cape.
  • Angolan nationals or refugees from the following countries: Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
  • With a strong academic record and extracurricular involvement.
  • A second or third year law student at the University of Fort Hare or the University of the Western Cape.
